THE CHRIST OF THE HERNICS

The history of the project stems from the excursion experience of the CAI of Alatri in particular of the cultural program to discover the territory which involved young students in alternating school work the Pietrobono high school in Alatri, the Von Newman high school in Rome to look at the territory from a another perspective, the historical, cultural and naturalistic one, of known and lesser known places: the polygonal walls, the Roman bridge, the Proto Badia di S. Sebastiano, the ruins of Campostino and the Pozzo D'Antullo, the roads and paths of the Monks , Trisulti and the medieval walls of Vico in Lazio. This is how the 35 km of city and extra-citizen paths were born that redesign the city, rediscovering its hidden stories and stimulating new narratives of the Ernico territory. From the acropolis of Alatri, passing through Collepardo and Vico in Lazio, "Il Cristo degli Ernici" closes a path through history, nature, art and traditions in the places of Monte Peccia.
